Daily Worship

I have been thinking a lot lately about what a witch should do everyday. Christians and Buddhists pray everyday, many more sometimes. Muslims have a prayer ritual 5 times a day at certain times. What should pagans be doing everyday?

I think that pagans should doing daily devotions every morning and evening.
They should visualize a psychic shield around them in the morning.
They should care for their bodies by eating right and exercising.
They should treat the earth as though it was goddess (it is!) by picking up trash when they see it and recycling.
A pagan should find at least 15-20 minutes of time each day to meditate or commune in some way with the divine source of energy.

I feel that these are the minimum. I don't do them all but I strive to. Is there anything I am missing? Or anything that you do?

My Beliefs

I have been having trouble with what to write about so here goes. What do I believe?

I believe there is a Goddess and a God. I think that the millions of gods and goddesses are all "personalities" of the egregore that is Deity. An Egregore according to Wikpedia is

" is a term from Old English which is fading from general use in modern English. Essentially, an egregore is the "spirit of a thing", usually a human group or organization, shared by the members of the group, for whom it provides guidelines concerning principles, beliefs, and goals. Companies, religions, states, and clubs all can be said to have egregores. "

Essentially in paganism, an egregore is Deity. People believing in something so much and for so long that it becomes a sentient form, living off the energy that people feed it. I believe that Virgin Mary was the goddess hidden. Male-centered spirituality gained in popularity so the goddess (knowing all) saw that taking the form of the Virgin Mary was the best thing for her. The movie Mists of Avalon presents this idea better than any other. Definitely see that movie.

Anyway. I worship the goddess move in everyday practice because I am a woman. I am not choosing sides, I just feel more of an affinity toward her because I am a woman. I see her as the Maiden, Mother, and the Crone. I feel her presence and I pray to her for guidance.

I believe in the 4 elements and I tend to work with the elements and elementals rather then watchtowers, guardians, or angels. I am very earthy in my practice. We are of the earth so I feel more aligned with earth beings.

I feel the earth sigh with relief when it rains. I feel the change in the energy of the atmosphere when the clouds gather or when the seasons begin to change.

I hear her whispering in my ear, when I quiet my mind enough to listen. She gives me pearls of wisdom, tells me what to do, she tells me not to worry and to leave it in her hands. When it seems like the whole world is falling around me she tells me that it will be alright. And I know that it is true because it always is for the best in the end.

My spirituality guides me and I am thankful that I found it.
